Warehouse Order Management Specialist 

 

Location:Salem, VA 24153

We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Management Specialist to support a fast-paced Warehouse environment! this role is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, client care, report building, coordinating inbound replenishment, and inventory scheduling.This role is responsible for the system-based handling of all incoming and outgoing materials, client/warehouse liaison, and administration. The position requires strong communication skills both written and verbal. attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and maintain accuracy through multiple systems. 

 

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Starting Pay: $20 to $22 per hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule, Day Shift: M-F 8-5 

 

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Order Entry & Order Acknowledgment  

• Provide Open Orders Reports weekly to customers 

• Provide Excel reports for M&C  

• Attend meetings regarding orders for Alstom (Internal & External)/M&C/PGS 

• Update orders per amendments/ IS’s/internal requests/MI’s  

• Request Final pricing from customer & report to Logistics  

• Request CO0 Schedules from engineering for manufacturing 

• Advise customers of changes (Promise dates, FAT dates, etc.) 

• File information in Powermax (PO amendments, email communications, MI’S) 

• Case Management & tagging (Sales Force)  

• Provide Quotes

  • Flexible to other tasks as priorities shift

  • Responsible for GDP (Good documentation practices)

 

 

Qualifications

• High School Diploma. 

• Experience in Logistics or Supply Chain sector. 

• Critical thinking and ability to solve problems. 

• Establish personal credibility. 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel & including familiarity with Access). 

• Interpersonal skills to allow interaction with internal and external (GE P&L) departments, including, sourcing, engineering, and finance.  

• Customer communication skills and experience via written, in person and phone. 

• Customer service background. 

• SAP knowledge. 

  • Prior experience in inventory control with inventory, workorders, delivery fulfillment with incoming inventory and SAP experience preferred.
