Location: Groveport, Ohio
Compensation: $23.00 per hour
Kelly Services is currently seeking an experienced Distribution Center Lead for a growing operation in Groveport, Ohio. This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys developing teams, and is committed to operational excellence.
Schedule
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Candidates must be flexible to work additional hours and weekends as necessary.
Position Overview
The Distribution Center Lead plays a vital role in supporting daily warehouse operations and providing effective leadership and direction to a team of associates. The position is responsible for driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, promoting a safe work environment, and acting as a key liaison between employees and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily warehouse operations to ensure productivity, quality, and customer service objectives are met.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to warehouse associates throughout the shift.
- Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and production metrics.
- Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Train and onboard new employees.
- Communicate shift priorities, expectations, and operational updates.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Assist with inventory control and accuracy initiatives.
- Collaborate with management to address attendance, performance, and employee relations issues.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience in a lead, team lead, shift lead, or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate employees and hold teams accountable.
- Experience working with warehouse management systems or inventory systems is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and spending significant time on the warehouse floor.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and perform job-related tasks as required.
