Job Title: Quality Control Technician
Job Duration: 12+ Months
Location: Tewksbury, MA – 01876
Shift: Monday to Friday 8am start
Pay rate: $17.25/hrs. on W2
Job Description:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Quality Control Technician to support the testing and quality of advanced handheld X-ray devices used across the safety & security, mining and minerals, and pharmaceutical industries. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet rigorous quality, performance, and regulatory standards before deployment to customers worldwide.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in quality inspection, electronics or instrumentation testing, and a strong commitment to safety, precision, and continuous improvement in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- In this role you will be responsible for the incoming inspection of raw parts in support of three different product lines for the company
- You will be working with hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, etc.
- Must be proficient in the use of a measuring microscope for complex geometries and difficult measurements. CMM Programming a definite plus
- You will work with small components using microscopes, tweezers and gloves, making sound judgments based on visual indicators
- Be committed to continuous improvement and balance multiple activities in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills that allow individual success in a very results-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and team participation skills in an environment of multiple proficiencies and varying skills requirements
- Ability to communicate activities (both wins and losses) effectively at all organizational levels
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in an incoming inspection role
- Experience with automated or semi-automated inspection equipment
- Must have the ability to read drawings, understand geometric tolerance, and terms such as tolerance stack up, run out, etc.
- Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel and Word
- Background with metrology coordination a plus
- Experience with ERP systems a plus
Education:
- High school diploma
