Job Title: Assembly Operator I
Location: Fairview, NC
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $19.37/hr

Our Client is a leading manufacturer of Relays and Switches for the Aerospace industry. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and maintaining rigorous standards for safety and performance.

Position Overview:
As an Assembly Operator I, you will be responsible for assembling components for aerospace applications. You will work collaboratively with your team to ensure products meet quality standards and deadlines. This position requires the use of microscopes, small hand tools, and the fitting of components into fixtures, following detailed work instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble components according to work instructions, drawings, and quality standards

  • Inspect your own work to ensure compliance with product specifications

  • Perform pull tests as required for specific operations

  • Measure components using calipers, gages, and other tools

  • Complete operational paperwork for product traceability

  • Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs when necessary

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Follow company and department policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

  • Collaborate effectively with team members

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Minimum one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Basic computer skills preferred

  • Ability to interpret product blueprints is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Experience with measuring devices (gages, calipers, etc.) is preferred

  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production goals

  • Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to remain stationary 75% of the shift

  • Ability to operate machinery and move between work zones

  • Proficiency in understanding written instructions in English
