Material Handler (Temporary Project)

Location: Portland, OR
Pay: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Duration: Approximately 2 Weeks (Potential Extension Based on Business Needs)
Start Date: August 3

Immediate Openings – Hiring Now!

We are seeking dependable Material Handlers for a short-term project with a leading food manufacturing company in Portland, OR. This is a full-time, hands-on opportunity offering $25.00/hour on a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.

This assignment is expected to last approximately two weeks, with the possibility of an extension based on business needs. Temporary employees may also be encouraged to apply for future permanent openings if they become available.

Job Responsibilities

  • Unload trucks containing carts and materials

  • Move and position carts throughout the work area

  • Unwrap carts and prepare them for assembly

  • Assemble carts following provided training and work instructions

  • Perform repetitive lifting, bending, twisting, and material handling throughout the shift

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures

This position does not require forklift or pallet jack operation.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift

  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attendance and reliability

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

  • Material Handling

  • Warehouse

  • General Labor

  • Assembly

  • Manufacturing

  • Production

  • Construction

  • Moving

  • Shipping & Receiving

Schedule & Pay

  • Pay: $25.00/hour

  • Shift: Monday–Friday

  • Hours: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

  • Start Date: August 3

Breaks

  • Two paid 15-minute breaks

  • One unpaid 30-minute lunch
