Our client is seeking a Medium Voltage Engineering Manager to lead the design and engineering of custom medium voltage switchgear and power distribution equipment within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading the engineering team, driving project execution, improving engineering processes, and partnering with Operations, Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality to deliver high-quality engineered-to-order products.
Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the medium voltage engineering team.
  

• Oversee engineering projects from design through manufacturing release.
  

• Improve engineering efficiency, quality, and standardization.
  

• Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Quality to support production and customer delivery.
  

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best engineering practices.
  

• Mentor engineers and build a high-performing, accountable team.
  

• Support CAD, PLM, ERP, and engineering system improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  

• 10+ years of engineering experience in electrical equipment manufacturing.
  

• 5+ years leading engineering teams.
  

• Hands-on experience designing and manufacturing medium voltage switchgear, switchboards, MCCs, or power distribution equipment.
  

• Knowledge of Electrical Standards is required  
  

• Experience in an engineered-to-order (ETO) manufacturing environment.
  

• Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.

This position is not intended for candidates whose experience is limited to field engineering, commissioning, utility engineering, or EPC equipment selection. Direct experience in the managing of design teams for the manufacturing of switchgear or other related equipment is required.
