Job Title: Inspector/Packer I – Plastics Manufacturing
Location: Mebane, NC

Position Overview:
The Inspector/Packer II is responsible for manually inspecting completed plastic parts and preparing them for shipment. This includes packing, labeling, and stacking boxes, and may also involve operating machinery and training Inspector/Packer I employees. The successful candidate will ensure safety and cleanliness in the work area, comply with all regulations, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform in-process inspection by frequently examining products for visual defects (discoloration, burns, contamination, etc.).
Record necessary data regarding products and job performance as required by management.
Prepare products for shipping, including transferring them to shipping containers, labeling using SAP, and stacking on pallets.
Supply new or used boxes to molding presses.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in production and packing areas (sweeping, cleaning, spill removal).
Sort and rework products that do not meet customer requirements, with proper documentation and labeling.
Sample and gauge reject products as needed.
Foster teamwork by building good working relationships with all departments.
Complete all required training and conduct all job functions in a safe manner.
Use appropriate safety equipment and comply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Average or better math skills.
Ability to spend long hours walking and standing.
Good color perception and manual dexterity.
Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well at all levels.
Highly organized and detail-oriented approach to work.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
Proficiency in personal computers; familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, and email preferred.

Pay: $17
Shift: 7:45pm-8am (Rotating shift)
