Job Opportunity: Janitor / Porter – Pooler, GA
Location: Pooler, GA
Shift: Rotating schedule (weekends required), 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Janitor/Porter to help maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the factory’s GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) zone. In this essential role, you will help ensure a clean and safe environment for all employees by following established sanitation protocols and safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly restock handwashing and water stations
  

• Maintain the cleanliness of floors and walls in all common areas
  

• Collect and properly dispose of trash from shared spaces
  

• Manage bulk chemical deliveries; refill and distribute chemicals as needed
  

• Replace cleaning tools and supplies as required
  

• Complete tasks assigned in the Master Sanitation Schedule
  

• Adhere to GMP guidelines and promptly report any food safety concerns
  

• Always wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols
  

• Immediately report any safety incidents; comply with Company, Plant, OSHA, and EPA regulations
  

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, reliable, and highly organized with a strong focus on safety
  

• Able to stand and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment for up to 12 hours
  

• Capable of lifting, kneeling, bending, squatting, stooping, and carrying up to 25 lbs
  

• Strong English reading, writing, and communication abilities
  

• Committed to safe work practices
  

• Willingness to learn to operate forklifts and floor scrubbers

Skills & Education

• Excellent communication, organization, and listening skills
  

• Superb attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  

• Able to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks

Work Environment

• Work is performed primarily on the production floor and involves regular handling of chemicals
  

• PPE is required at all times
