Kettle Operator
Pay: $22.50-$23.05 per hour
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
Shifts Available: 1st and 2nd shift
6:30am-3:00pm, 2:30pm-11:00pm
Job Summary
The Kettle Operator is responsible for producing high quality sauces using open kettles while closely monitoring ingredients, time, and temperatures to ensure food safety and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cooking and production equipment (kettles, ovens, pumps, dishwashers, pan wash)
- Measure, weigh, and verify ingredients per recipe
- Load, monitor, and unload kettles during the cooking process
- Fill containers with finished product and hot stock
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
- Palletize boxes and move materials using pallet jacks
- Follow all GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Communicate issues or updates to the Supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Manufacturing or food production experience preferred
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork
- Comfortable working in a fast?paced, hot/cold production environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (team lift for heavier items)
Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment
- Standing and walking for most of the shift
- Exposure to heat, noise, and wet conditions
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
