What’s a typical day as Material Handler? You’ll be:
- Unloading materials, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks and inspecting items for quality compliance.
- Stocking and transferring materials to appropriate bins, racks, or bundles based on type, size, and destination.
- Marking and identifying material accurately for inventory purposes.
- Assembling customer orders from stock, packaging for shipment, and preparing documentation for various shipping methods.
- Pulling orders for delivery, loading/unloading trucks using forklifts or heavy equipment, and transferring items between departments.
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and adhering to OSHA and customer safety policies.
- Reporting workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately and taking reasonable care for your own safety and that of others.
- Performing other duties and projects as assigned by the Branch Manager or supervisor.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Possess basic math, reading, typing, and computer skills.
- Are able to lift and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively in English for safety and operational clarity.
- Are eager to learn warehouse operations, safety regulations, and business processes.
- Can provide documentation verifying legal work status.
- Are committed to upholding business ethics and teamwork.
