Technician – Manufacturing II (Days)

Location: Rio Rancho, NM (100% onsite) 

Contract Duration: Up to 18 months 

Contract Type: W2 through Staffing Supplier 

Regular Shift: Thurs – Sat, e/o Wed 6:00am – 6:30pm 

Training Shift (first 8 weeks): Mon – Fri 7:00am – 4:00pm

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Multi-tasked responsibilities may include minor preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, non-standard processing and problem-solving. Primary job duties are execution of tests for tool and process development following detailed written and verbal instructions. Candidate should be able to manage their time to maximize output using constraint management techniques. Position requires working efficiently from standard procedures and specifications. Some, if not all, tasks performed require repetitive motion to an extent. Position is highly physical where candidates need to be able to stand, move, walk, etc. throughout the day.

Candidate must meet either experience or education requirement:

…1 – 3 years work experience in Semiconductor lab or cleanroom, work experience in production with AA degree in related field, including computer software, semiconductor, etc. (or military experience w/ some post-high school education (degree not required)).

 

OR  

 

…HS diploma or GED equivalent with 3+ years of related experience (preferably semiconductor)

***Strongly prefer AS degree.

Preferred:
Previous client experience in a lab or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with utilizing basic electronic assembly tools used for circuit board assembly e.g., wire strippers, cutters, soldering irons, electric torque drivers, and screw drivers. Some background in small electrical devices manufacturing a plus. Experience with cable assembly (crimpers, wire insertion tools) is desirable. Candidate should be familiar
with MS Office with ability to run Outlook, Excel (for both data entry and
writing simple formulas), Word and Powerpoint. Familiar with how to measure
basic electrical properties (Voltage, current, resistance) with a multimeter.
Familiarity with computers to be able to both install software and do simple
upgrades (adding RAM) would be desirable. Laptop will be provided.
