Kelly Services is hiring a Production Manager for a direct-hire opportunity. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced machining leader who can keep production moving, support machinists on the floor, troubleshoot issues quickly, and ensure precision parts are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Position: Production Supervisor
Location: Bucks County. PA
Shift: 1st Shift
Salary: $105,000 to $120,000, based on experience
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Position Overview
The Production Manager will oversee daily machining operations, coordinate workflow, support machinists, and ensure CNC and manual machining work is completed to quality, safety, and production standards. This role is ideal for someone with a strong machining background who understands CNC tooling, blueprints, GD&T, scheduling, equipment setup, and team leadership.
The right person will be hands-on, organized, safety-focused, and comfortable leading machinists in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where accuracy and accountability matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate daily machining workflows to meet production needs.
- Manage, support, and lead a team of machinists.
- Oversee CNC and manual equipment setup and operation.
- Review production priorities and ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and dimensional compliance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and job specifications.
- Support CNC tooling selection, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and production issues quickly.
- Work with machinists to resolve setup, tooling, quality, or process concerns.
- Train new team members on procedures, safety expectations, and machining processes.
- Enforce workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized production area.
- Support continuous improvement, workflow efficiency, and quality initiatives.
- Communicate production status, delays, and equipment concerns to leadership.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of machining experience required.
- 2+ years of supervisory, lead, or foreman experience required.
- Strong CNC machining knowledge required.
- Experience with both CNC and manual machining equipment preferred.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge required.
- Experience with CNC tooling selection, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to schedule machining work and prioritize production needs.
- Experience inspecting finished parts for dimensional accuracy.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to train, coach, and support machinists on the floor.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Solid modeling experience preferred.
- Safety-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
