Job details

Kelly Services is now hiring a Furnace Operator for 2nd shift at a leading manufacturer in New Albany, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring furnaces, ensuring safe and efficient production processes. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with strong time management and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor multiple furnaces according to procedures and safety regulations.

  • Build, load, and unload furnaces as required for production.

  • Read and interpret written and oral instructions to prioritize daily tasks.

  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as needed.

  • Communicate effectively with peers, team leads, and management.

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment.

  • Perform routine cleaning and complete daily TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) requirements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 3-5 years of experience with furnace operations, brazing, or heat treating strongly preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work overtime as required.

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and databases is preferred.

  • Must demonstrate a commitment to working safely at all times.
