Job Responsibilities
As an Electro-Separations Machine Operator, you will:
- Operate, set up, and clean membrane production equipment.
- Mix and handle chemicals according to established formulas and procedures.
- Monitor production processes and perform quality inspections.
- Troubleshoot equipment and production issues to minimize downtime and waste.
- Prepare, package, and move finished products and raw materials.
- Enter production information accurately into SAP, databases, and production logs.
- Perform routine maintenance and equipment calibration.
- Support inventory cycle counts and material handling.
- Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and life-critical procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, and hazardous waste handling.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working with chemicals.
- Assist with process improvements and new product development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Machine Operator, Maintenance Technician, Chemical Mixer/Handler, or in a technical military role; OR
- Minimum of 6 months of experience as a membrane operator.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working with chemicals, including acids, solvents, and bases.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance, including changing filters, strainers, and equipment cleaning.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, safety shoes, respirators (PAPR), and chemical-resistant suits.
- Willingness to train on forklift operation, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and confined space procedures.
