QA Technician
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM (weekends and overtime as needed)
Position Summary
The QA Technician ensures product quality, food safety, and GMP compliance through inspections, testing, documentation, and production monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform raw material, in-process, and finished product quality inspections.
• Conduct laboratory testing, including pH, temperature, viscosity, Brix, butterfat, and microbiological testing.
• Monitor filling, packaging, labeling, coding, weights, and metal detector/X-ray verification.
• Collect and maintain product retention and environmental samples.
• Conduct pre-operational inspections, ATP/allergen swabbing, and sanitation verification.
• Enforce GMP, food safety, and quality standards throughout the facility.
• Complete quality documentation and place products on hold when specifications are not met.
• Communicate quality and food safety concerns to production teams and management.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous quality, laboratory, or food manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety practices.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours in a manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
• Stand for extended periods.
• Work in hot, cold, and noisy production environments.
• Climb ladders and lift materials as needed.
