Public Assistance Eligibility Specialist – On-Site | Tucson, AZ 85714

Pay Rate: Starts at $18.60/Hr + SoAZ great benefits
M–F, 8–5
Local Only Candidates

Duties/Responsibilities
• Review applications and determine eligibility for public assistance programs through interactive interviews and fact gathering
• Verify form accuracy; follow up with applicants as needed to complete application processes
• Communicate with applicants/recipients to address concerns and ensure proper program placement
• Advise on appropriate public assistance programs and support applicants through the process
• Explain program rules and policies to claimants, representatives, employers, doctors, and agencies
• Solicit information to accurately determine eligibility
• Maintain detailed and accurate records
• Travel to various locations for off-site meetings, training, or conferences as required
• Complete a 7-week in-person training program (potential for FTE conversion after training)

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years customer service experience
• High school diploma
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must work 100% on-site and have reliable transportation
• Able to start ASAP (expedited onboarding required)
Preferred Experience/Skills
• Experience performing eligibility reviews
• Previous insurance adjudication experience
