Location: Remote, U.S.-based, from an approved work location (Must be within 100 miles of Columbus, OH; Orlando, FL; Kansas City, MO; or Portland, OR)
Pay Range: $29 to $35 per hour

Work Location & Training Requirements:
This is a remote position without regular on-site work, and must be performed from an approved U.S.-based location. Initial training or onboarding may require travel of up to one week, with advance notice.
Remote Work & Compliance Requirements:

  • Must maintain a dedicated, distraction-free workspace with a closing door, separate from living areas.

  • Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection to access company systems and applications.

  • Ensure phone conversations involving Protected Health Information (PHI) are private and cannot be overheard; computer screens must not be visible to unauthorized individuals.

  • All work must be conducted via the corporate VPN; local data downloads, unapproved caching, or local tokenization of sensitive records is not permitted.

  • Full compliance with HIPAA, Sensitive Personal Information consent governance, and all regional data privacy laws is required.

Your Opportunity:
The Multilingual Case Manager acts as a liaison between patients, providers, distributors, and insurance carriers to help ensure services are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively. This position provides reimbursement support to patients, pharmacists, physicians, and internal partners; educates and assists patients, families, and providers as they navigate the reimbursement and appeals process; identifies barriers to reimbursement; and facilitates referrals to alternative coverage options and financial assistance programs for underinsured or copay assistance needs. This role requires strong customer service, careful handling of patient information, and the ability to communicate complex reimbursement and access information clearly in English and at least one relevant additional language.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and excellent customer service

  • Exhibit investigational and analytical abilities

  • Communicate clearly, accurately, and professionally in writing and verbally

  • Support patients, providers, distributors, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders with reimbursement and access-related inquiries

  • Educate patients, families, and providers on reimbursement, appeals, coverage options, and financial assistance pathways

  • Identify barriers to reimbursement and facilitate timely resolution

  • Follow written Standard Operating Procedures, documentation requirements, and privacy/compliance guidelines

  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, manage competing priorities, and demonstrate sound judgment

  • Maintain strong attention to detail, multitasking, organizational, and time management skills

  • Work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks during high-volume periods

  • Be prepared for periodic mandatory overtime, including weekends, during peak referral seasons or unexpected surges

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Three years of reimbursement experience preferred

  • Knowledge of the managed care industry, including government payers

  • Proficient in benefit investigations, payer reimbursement policies, regulatory and administrative rules

  • Understanding of reimbursement or funding resources and how to access them

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Spanish language

  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and accurately in both English and the additional language(s), verbally and in writing

  • Experience supporting patients or customers in a multilingual environment is preferred

  • Expected salary range: $29 to $35 per hour, determined by experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law
