Job details
A leading metals manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a 1st shift Direct Hire opportunity. If you thrive in a fast-paced job shop environment and are passionate about precision machining, we want to hear from you!
$28.00 – $35.00 Based on Experience
9-Hour Workday; Earliest Start Time 6:00 AM
Responsibilities:
- Write and edit the majority of machine programs and codes independently
- Perform all machine set-ups without assistance
- Calculate necessary speeds and feeds for various operations
- Consistently produce high-quality parts according to specifications
- Meet or exceed routed production times
- Identify errors quickly and communicate issues to the supervisor
- Set up and operate multiple machines when possible
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; notify management of maintenance needs
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of CNC/Mill experience in a job shop environment
- Strong programming skills using G & M Codes
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools for accurate inspections
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Capable of following detailed and complex instructions precisely
- Advanced mathematical and analytical abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Punctual with consistent attendance
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational training is a plus
