Pay Rate: $30-35/hr, based on experience

What’s a typical day as Generator Technician? You’ll be:
- Performing routine maintenance on generators and transfer switches
- Following all safety rules, maintenance protocols, and lockout/tag-out procedures
- Utilizing personal protective equipment and maintaining a safe work environment
- Keeping your truck stocked with necessary equipment and tools
- Completing paperwork at the end of each service call
- Lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying, and maneuvering heavy items as required
- Maintaining an adequate tool inventory for assigned repairs
- Communicating effectively with customers and office staff
- Identifying potential problems proactively and implementing solutions
- Responding to emergency service calls as needed
- Demonstrating strong computer literacy for documentation and communication
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a high school diploma or GED (required); technical certification preferred
- Possess 3-5 years of experience as a generator, electrical, or mechanical technician
- Are well-versed in mechanical skills and have experience with Load Bank testing
- Are detail-oriented, self-accountable, and thorough
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
- Can manage your own tool inventory and work independently
- Are able to lift and maneuver heavy equipment as needed
- Exhibit strong computer literacy and paperwork completion skills
