Job Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 3rd shift, 9pm - 5:30am
Job Description:
Requires specific knowledge of general heat treat requirements for aluminum, titanium, nickel based alloys, stainless, and alloy steels
Must be familiar with Heat Treat scheduling to ensure proper sequence for product through heat treating. Must be familiar with the operation, adjustment and routine maintenance of all furnace controllers. Under the direction of an operator will batch loads for optimum productivity
Will be trained and under guidance will set thermal couple, prepare load per optimal heat distribution of load
Unload furnaces
Responsible for heat treat and process furnace accuracy and uniformity surveys
Ability to move parts on and off pallets
Interpret hardness rating utilizing measuring tools and standards
Places work piece into a heating furnace for a specified period of time
Will be responsible for Hardness testing, utilizing specific calibrated hardness testing equipment
Must have understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work instructions
Maintains a safe and organized workstation and follows all company policy, safety and procedures.
Skill/Knowledge:
High School Diploma or GED and 1 to 3 years of relative manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Basic computer knowledge preferred
Must be certified to operate a forklift to approved O.S.H.A. standards
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
Frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
