Are you looking to join a dynamic team where safety and efficiency are top priorities? Kelly is hiring Material Handlers for our warehouse operations in Romeoville and Joliet! If you have experience operating SIT DOWN, REACH TRUCK, and/or EPJ equipment, we want to hear from you.
Locations:
- Romeoville
- Joliet
Shifts Available:
- 1ST AND 2ND SHIFT
Hourly Rate:
- $19/hr – $22/hr
Experience Required:
- Selected candidates must have SIT DOWN / REACH TRUCK and/or EPJ OPERATOR EXPERIENCE
Job Purpose:
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (REACH TRUCK, SIT DOWN, EPJ) safely and efficiently.
- Use computers and handheld RF equipment for warehouse tasks.
- Handle all inbound and outbound freight properly and orderly.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and carriers safely, following procedures.
- Store stock correctly and maintain organized stacking in the warehouse.
- Provide material handling services for shipping and receiving.
- Work flexible shifts and perform tasks at heights as needed.
- Verify shipment accuracy against paperwork.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and safety policies.
- Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and work with limited supervision.
- Exhibit strong communication, problem-solving, and people skills.
- Be flexible with overtime and shift coverage.
- Utilize PC skills.
- Build pallets and break down stock for orders.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse.
Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Warehousing certifications are a plus.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
- Write reports and correspondence effectively.
- Present information clearly to managers, clients, and customers.
Physical Demands:
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work comfortably in an indoor environment with physical activity requirements.
- Work under stressful situations with cognitive skills for multitasking.
