Location: Attleboro, MA
Hours: 7am – 3:30pm
Pay: $38.00 per hour

Kelly is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team! You will be responsible for repairing, creating, and assembling tooling to match part drawings. The role involves working with jigs, fixtures, dies, gauges, and other precision tools used in manufacturing, utilizing lathes, milling machines, grinders, and hand tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Always follow safety rules, including using personal protective equipment, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Fabricate, repair, and rebuild dies, jigs, fixtures, and machine parts based on work orders, designs, or verbal instructions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues, operating presses to evaluate production concerns.
- Perform complex setups and tight tolerance machining on manual and CNC equipment.
- Handle bench work: filing, grinding, polishing, fitting, welding, and soldering.
- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators) for high-quality output.
- Ensure finished products meet quality standards and production requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement (kaizen) and scrap reduction initiatives.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and report any defects or failures.
- Assist in training less experienced associates when needed.
- Safely use lift equipment to move parts.
- Meet attendance and production schedules.
Qualifications
- Accredited apprenticeship in tool and die making OR equivalent education/experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Tool and Die Maker in manufacturing.
- CNC machining experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong mathematical, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills.
- Able to work with various materials and perform precise measurements/tolerances.
- Strong independent work ethic and ability to collaborate effectively.
- Authorized Lockout/Tagout training required.
- Certified tow motor operator preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to stand and move about for 8-hour shifts.
- Frequently required to talk, hear, and read documents/screens.
- Occasionally lift/move up to 40 pounds.
- Utilizes close/distance/color/depth vision.
- Exposure to mechanical parts, noise, dust, and high temperatures.
- Adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory.
