Position Title: Data Entry Specialist/ Digitization Technician
Department: Health Information Management (HIM)
Location: Framingham, MA
Pay Rate: $21/hour
Assignment Length: 6–7 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift

Description:

Seeking temporary Digitization Technicians to support a medical records scanning and digitization project within the Health Information Management (HIM) department. These positions will be responsible for converting paper medical records into a secure electronic format within an approved document management system. Technicians will prepare, scan, index, and conduct quality assurance checks on participant records to ensure accurate and secure digital archiving.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare paper medical records for digitization (removing staples, sorting, etc.)

  • Scan, index, and organize electronic records

  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive health information

  • Follow organizational procedures and HIPAA guidelines

  • Assist with document management and archiving activities as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience with document scanning, records management, data entry, or administrative support preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Ability to lift and move records/files up to 25 pounds
