We’re seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Technician for a direct hire, permanent opportunity with a rapidly growing food manufacturing client in Elk Grove Village, IL! - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

Position Overview:
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will coordinate maintenance tech workflow, perform preventative maintenance on high-speed packaging equipment, execute repairs, and lead root cause analysis and documentation for equipment issues. Support production teams, assist with equipment installation and upgrades, and play a vital role in site HACCP procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support Maintenance Technicians during shift operations
- Perform, document, and validate preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment (“final task” methodology)
- Project planning, new equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications
- Provide technical support to production line operators
- Root cause analysis and maintenance research/documentation
- Uphold HACCP and GMP standards within food manufacturing
- Effectively adapt to and function in a dynamic environment
Required Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree or related technical training/certification preferred; HS diploma/GED required
- 5-7+ years of maintenance mechanic experience, including food manufacturing
- Mechanical, basic electrical, welding, and power transmission proficiency
- Facility support equipment (refrigeration, ammonia systems) experience a plus
- Demonstrated computer literacy
- Effective communicator and collaborative leader
- Ability to interpret safety/maintenance documentation; fluency in English required (Spanish a plus)
Pay and Hours:
$36 – $42/hr, depending on experience
Mon-Thu 1pm – 11:30pm and Fridays 1pm – 9:30pm (will train on days for 2-3 weeks)
