Job details

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical QA Specialist to inspect, test, and validate low to medium voltage distribution equipment and medium-voltage switchgear before shipment. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements through electrical inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, and detailed documentation. The position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect electrical assemblies, wiring, and control panels for workmanship and compliance.

  • Perform electrical testing including Hi-Pot, Megger, insulation resistance, and functional testing.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

  • Troubleshoot quality issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Maintain and calibrate electrical test equipment.

  • Document inspection and test results while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

  • Promote safe testing practices in accordance with NFPA 70E and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of electrical inspection or testing experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with power distribution equipment is strongly preferred.

  • Strong ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.

  • Knowledge of NFPA 70E and safe high-voltage testing practices.

  • Familiarity with UL 67, UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE C37.20.2, and IEEE C37.20.3 is a plus.
