Job Summary
The Material Handler’s main duty is to ensure the timely fulfillment of both internal production orders and external customer orders. This involves utilizing equipment such as electric pallet jacks, forklifts, Swing-Reach turret trucks, and/or cranes to receive, put away, pick, pack, kit and ship warehouse inventory. Key responsibilities also include maintaining inventory accuracy by using computers and RF scanners for the warehouse management system (WMS) to verify quantities, locations, and documentation. Additionally, the role supports safety and productivity through general warehouse cleaning and organization, as well as performing cycle counting and other assigned tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and best practices, including housekeeping and spill response protocols and actively participate in EHS meetings, investigations, and audits.
Ensure all loading and unloading tasks comply with quality, Department of Transportation (DOT), and hazardous material requirements.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by collecting and properly disposing of scrap bracing, cardboard, strapping, and other debris.
Timely transport production and non-production materials as requested, utilizing equipment such as a forklift or pallet jack to move items to their designated locations including putaway of received material.
Examine incoming material upon delivery and outgoing material before shipping for damage and verify the accuracy of information against packing slips, invoices, and freight bills to ensure correct deliveries.
Perform material transactions using a radio-frequency (RF) device and/or computer for SAP transactions to accurately reflect the product’s status, ensuring correct materials and quantities are recorded in the proper storage locations and bins.
Enter material information (e.g., P.O. number) into the business computer system (SAP) to generate and apply receiving labels, which ensures material traceability.

Prepare orders and kits for shipment, consolidate materials, and complete assigned cycle counts as directed by the warehouse leadership
Pull materials from warehouse bins and/or vertical storage units using a pick list and an RF device, accurately identifying the specific part number, lot number, quantity, and location for all items needed to fill customer orders.
Package/crate orders, including the pick list, according to specifications or shipping best practices, preparing the package for final labeling and distribution to the customer.
Input necessary information into the computer to generate and print labels for product shipment.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or warehouse leadership.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to work at heights in a Swing-Reach truck and other types of forklifts..
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Willingness and ability to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes, fall protection harness.
Job requirements include standing, bending, twisting, and climbing stairs and/or ladders.
Read and comprehend written and spoken (English) instructions and/or protocols.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
Basic mathematical skills.

Preferred:
Experience working in SAP & TekRF scanners
Experience with Google, Google Docs & Sheets
1 year of material handler and/or warehouse experience
Experience operating a forklift, Swing-Reach Turret truck / Transtacker and or a crane in a manufacturing area
Previous experience with wood crate assembly
Ability to adapt to business needs and prioritize workload as required
