Job Title: Assembler
Location:Skaneateles NY
Shift: 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday – Friday)
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Position Summary:
As an Assembler, you will perform a variety of entry-level assembly tasks across multiple stations to produce medical devices and equipment. This role requires close attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and effective teamwork in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test medical devices and components per established procedures and quality standards
- Follow detailed work instructions, including the use of hand tools, power tools, and automated machinery in compliance with GMP and FDA regulations
- Review products for quality, identify defects, and escalate quality issues to team leaders
- Complete Device History Record (DHR) documentation as required
- Prepare and verify kits with required components for assembly
- Maintain inventory levels and replenish materials as needed
- Label and package both kits and finished products accurately
- Safely handle, store, and transport materials and assemblies
- Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency
- Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly
- Support occasional station changes and additional duties as required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, assembly drawings, and part specifications
- Strong attention to detail and visual inspection skills
- Effective teamwork and clear communication abilities
- Basic problem-solving skills for addressing minor production issues
- Willingness to adapt to process changes and new technologies in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking for up to 8–12 hours per shift
- Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25–55 lbs. (team lift or lifting equipment required for items over 40 lbs.)
- Frequent movement within the production area
