Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Multi-Craft)

Location: Houston, TX 77020 (On-site)

Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $30.00 / hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM


Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations at our Houston facility. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to maximize reliability, minimize downtime, and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and production systems.


  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine PM schedules to maintain high operational reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.


  • Installations & Upgrades: Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, light fabrication, and welding projects.


  • Documentation & CMMS: Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to accurately document work orders, tasks, and equipment history.


  • Safety & Inventory: Maintain compliance with safety standards and assist with spare parts inventory management.


Required Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.


  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.


  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.


  • Blueprints & Schematics: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.


  • Background & Screening: Must successfully pass a 7-year National Criminal Record Locator check, SSN trace, and a 10-panel drug swab.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training, technical trade certification, or relevant education.


  • Prior experience utilizing a CMMS software system.


  • Experience with welding, fabrication, and shop equipment.


  • Electrical certification or specialized electrical maintenance background.
