What’s a typical day as Machine Operator – Placement? You’ll be:
- Programming, setting up, and operating a CNC Press Brake (preferably Amada), gantry style vertical mill, and/or CNC Punch Press/Laser.
- Reading and interpreting 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions.
- Using knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup.
- Verifying components meet requirements using basic measurement instruments.
- Communicating effectively with production leads and collaborating with Quality, Environmental, and H&S employees.
- Inspecting production parts and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in programming and setup for machine operation.
- Possess strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Are familiar with cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup.
- Have experience using measurement instruments to verify quality.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and time management skills.
- Are willing to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Are committed to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with environmental and safety policies.
