What’s a typical day as Production Chemist? You’ll be:
- Performing organic chemistry syntheses in a manufacturing environment, following written production documents and standard operating procedures.
- Producing and analyzing reagents, components, and finished products in accordance with the manufacturing plan, and maintaining accurate inventories using advanced ERP systems.
- Analyzing and interpreting scientific data, maintaining clear and accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in process improvement initiatives, and contributing to new product development.
- Troubleshooting manufacturing issues, identifying variables, performing experiments, and recommending corrective actions.
- Working with planning and purchasing teams to develop and execute manufacturing schedules.
- Actively participating in team meetings, conflict resolution, and training opportunities for career development.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or similar life science discipline (required). MS in Organic Chemistry (preferred)
- 2-3 years experience in organic chemistry, chemical manufacturing, or a similar production setting.
- Possess strong technical writing, organizational, and time management skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to independently handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize scientific results clearly.
- Are skilled in problem-solving, leading teams, and providing work direction.
- Are comfortable working in a team-based environment and collaborating across functions to meet quality and safety standards.
