Job Title: Senior Assembly Technician
Location: Youngstown, OH
Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and accurately build products from complex schematics and detailed process instructions.
- Utilize hand and power tools, measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, gauge pins), and test equipment (HiPot tester, Multimeter).
- Assemble products according to work instructions and standing procedures.
- Conduct quality inspections—mechanical, dimensional, and visual—to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Support ISO certification processes, document maintenance, and annual audits.
- Accurately receive, record, and manage inbound materials and non-conforming inventory.
- Coordinate with shipping for the packaging and delivery of completed products.
- Perform routine material handling and warehouse duties.
- Assist with inventory management and other assigned tasks.
- Effectively communicate with coworkers to fulfill customer requirements.
- Maintain an organized workflow, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety standards and company procedures.
- Voluntary overtime available as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in assembly, quality control, or inventory management
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read, interpret, and execute detailed assembly instructions and complex schematics
- Competency in basic Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems
- Excellent practical problem-solving and mathematical skills
- Experience in electromechanical assembly and warehouse operations highly preferred
- Experience operating forklifts or Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) is a plus
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Regularly lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent walking; occasional sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
- Occasional exposure to electrical hazards (up to 20% of the time)
- Must use hands consistently for assembling and handling tools
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots
