Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:
$20.00 – $23.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd and 3rd Shift available

What’s a typical day as Set-Up Technician? You’ll be:

  • Performing start-ups and changeovers of production runs using efficient methods to minimize scrap and downtime

  • Setting up and operating Single, Dual, and Tri Extrusion production lines

  • Completing multiple tooling changes during an 8-hour shift

  • Installing, adjusting, and troubleshooting various die types, including Streamline, Flat Back, and Button dies

  • Setting up and operating sizing systems such as Profile Plates in Water Tanks, Vacuum Calibration Systems, and Air Racks with Plates

  • Setting up and monitoring in-line lamination systems (PSA and HATS)

  • Operating and adjusting in-line cutting equipment, including Fly Knife Cutters, Puller/Cutter Combos, Saws, Guillotine Cutters, and Rotary Cutters

  • Performing in-line punching, laser marking, and inkjet printing operations

  • Responding promptly to Andon board requests to support production and minimize downtime

  • Assisting with troubleshooting and training to ensure team members are meeting customer needs

  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a clean, safe work area following 6S standards

  • Communicating effectively with supervisors, maintenance, quality, and other support teams

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED (required)

  • Possess previous manufacturing experience (extrusion setup experience preferred)

  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment

  • Can read and follow work instructions, production documents, and specifications

  • Are comfortable using basic computer skills, including data entry and navigation of internal software systems

  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and management

  • Are able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift

  • Can lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in a manufacturing environment
