Maintenance Technician (1st & 2nd Shift)
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour depending on experience
Duration: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: We have both 1st and 2nd shift available
1st shift: Mon-Thur | 5:00 AM-3:30 PM
2nd shift: Mon–Thur | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
We’re looking for two experienced Maintenance Technicians to join a growing manufacturing team in Grand Rapids, MI. This company specializes in metal finishing and electroplating services, providing protective and decorative coatings that improve the durability, corrosion resistance, and appearance of metal parts for a variety of industries.

What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing equipment to ensure maximum production efficiency and minimize downtime.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
- Repair and maintain hoists and pumps
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance inspections
- Install new production equipment
- Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance
- Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Support ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) standards, including internal audits when required
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous industrial maintenance or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair experience
- Basic electrical, plumbing, and building maintenance skills
- Preventative maintenance experience
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to safely lift and move materials
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility with warm and humid conditions at times
- Close-toed shoes are required in production areas
- Must be comfortable working around industrial machinery
- Safety is a top priority, and all employees are expected to follow established safety procedures
