Responsibilities:
· Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:
o Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans
o Instructing students on a variety of classroom topics/courses
o Building positive relationships
o Assigning reasonable tasks and homework
· Motivate students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
· Create a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
· Adapt to the various learning styles of students
· For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments
Minimum requirements:
High School Diploma
18 years or older

Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate clearly with students regarding expectations and classroom rules.
- Support diverse learners, including those in special education and those with autism, by adapting instructional strategies as needed.
- Assist in literacy education and early childhood education initiatives to promote foundational skills.
- Engage students in math activities that align with their learning objectives.
- Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student performance and any issues that arise during the day.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and behavior management are essential.
- Knowledge of literacy education practices and early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with children on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- A background in math education is beneficial but not required.
- A valid teaching credential or substitute teaching permit may be required depending on local regulations.
