Job Title: Control Room Operator 

Location: Tampa, FL
Shift: 6pm to 6am 12-hour shift on a  2-2-3 rotating schedule
(Must be available to train on 1st shift)
$35.00/hr
Long term 6 month assignment

We are seeking a reliable Control Room Operator to join our team. This role supports the continuous monitoring and operation of facility utility systems, ensuring compliance and operational readiness. Position Summary:
The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring all facility utility equipment, responding to alarms, and performing routine inspections and basic maintenance. You will cover operator shifts as needed and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of critical systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor alarms and respond to issues for utility equipment, aseptic room conditions, incubators, refrigerators, and freezers.
  

• Conduct operational checks and inspections of boilers, chillers, pumps, compressors, pure steam generators, vacuum systems, high purity water systems, reverse osmosis units, HVAC systems, waste water systems, city water systems, and related ancillary equipment.
  

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) and basic mechanical/electrical repairs.
  

• Process daily work orders; troubleshoot and address minor repairs on production and facility equipment.
  

• Enter documentation and routine monitoring data into computerized maintenance management systems.
  

• Review and sign off on daily logs and monitoring forms.
  

• Support routine water sampling and testing activities.
  

• Ensure areas are clean and organized; safely handle hazardous chemicals.
  

• Issue work orders and purchase orders for equipment maintenance.
  

• Maintain compliance with GMP, SOP, regulatory, and environmental health and safety procedures.
  

• Support contractors and project engineers as needed.
  

• Carry out all other duties as assigned.
  

• Cover shifts for other operators including weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications:

• Logical approach to troubleshooting and repair.
  

• Strong organizational skills; able to work efficiently under pressure.
  

• Effective verbal and written communication.
  

• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
  

• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies.
  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
  

• Experience with mechanical tools (calipers, etc.).
  

• Ability to work with hazardous chemicals safely.
