Job details

Job Title: Shipping Clerk II – 2nd Shift

Hours: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
Pay: $22/hr + 10%


Position Summary

The Shipping Clerk II supports Manufacturing operations by efficiently moving products between manufacturing cells and shipping areas. This role ensures that all customer orders are prepared accurately and shipped on time, helping meet company goals and customer expectations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and prepare shipping orders for dispatch.

  • Maintain adequate inventory of packing and shipping supplies through daily cycle counts.

  • Ensure stock shelves are well-organized and replenished.

  • Review daily shipping and receiving reports with the Manager to prioritize orders and assign tasks.

  • Expedite urgent orders requested by customers or Inside Sales.

  • Coordinate product movement from Receiving to manufacturing work cells and from work cells to Shipping.

  • Communicate with the Manager about discrepancies in shipments or receipts.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a shipping/receiving or industrial environment.

  • Forklift experience required (sit-down and stand-up models).

  • Inventory control experience preferred.

  • Ability to use basic computer functions.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Good English communication skills (reading and writing).

  • Basic math skills (counting, weighing).

  • Ability to work independently after initial training.

  • Collaborative team player.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous standing, moving, and reaching with arms and hands.

  • Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and carrying items.

  • Periodic climbing of ladders and stairs.

  • Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

  • Shop environment exposed to noise, dust, and odors.
