Kelly, in partnership with a growing manufacturing client, is looking for a CNC Machinist in Solon, OH.

This is a direct hire position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit, vacation, and compensation package upon hire.

Details:

  • Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday

  • Pay: $30 + (potentially higher based on candidate requirements and experience)

  • Location: Solon, OH

Job Description:

  • Develop an environment of continual improvement through the use of Lean tools

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers  

  • Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T callouts, and process sheets  

  • Select and install tooling, fixtures, and work offsets

  • Edit CNC programs at the machine as needed  

  • Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks 

  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements  

  • Maintain production efficiency while ensuring part quality

  • Train and mentor entry-level machinists and operators 

  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues  

  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain clean work areas  

REQUIRED SKILLS (Applicant must meet all to be considered):

  • High school diploma or GED required  

  • Technical degree or apprenticeship preferred  

  • 3 or more years of CNC machining experience  

  • Proficiency with precision measuring equipment

  • Ability to independently perform machine setups and adjustments  

  • Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining processes  

  • Experience editing G-code and M-code programs
