Senior Manufacturing Engineer

 

  • Location: 100% ONSITE – San Jose, California (95138)

  • Type: 12 Month Contract – (Contract Extension Expectation)

  • Pay Rate – Negotiable depending on DIRECT-related experience UP to $58/hr – $62/hr

  • Work Authorization – Must be currently in the United States with active employment authorization documents without CURRENT sponsorship transfer requirements

 

Must haves:

  • Experience with building and testing fixtures and equipment

  • Experience authoring manufacturing documents

  • Proven experience efficiently manage supporting multiple projects and able to independently problem solve

 

Job Summary:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will support New Product development projects by:

  • Leading and executing the purchase, assembly, installation, and testing of custom or off the shelf manufacturing equipment and fixtures

  • Developing custom inspection fixtures/equipment including mechanical setup, LabView software development, and machine learning

  • Authoring manufacturing work instructions, inspection procedures, attribute charts, PPAP documents

  • Creating prints for components used for product repair

  • Coordinating and troubleshooting incoming inspection / FAI of product components

  • Setting up manufacturing lines for product repair and inspection

 

Key Qualifications

  • Fluent in reading prints (components, custom fixtures, etc.)

  • Strong writing and documentation skills

  • Experience with assembly and testing of fixtures/equipment

  • Experience supporting manufacturing lines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Strong ability to independently problem-solve (technical and non-technical)

 

Nice to haves:

  • LabVIEW or TestStand experience

  • Medical device experience

  • Experience supporting manufacturing lines
