Material Handler – Service Center Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $17/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (No weekends)
Location: Savannah/Garden City
Position Overview
We’re looking for a Warehouse/Driver to join our service center team! If you have experience in the roofing industry or simply bring a strong work ethic and reliability, we want to hear from you. You’ll spend part of your day (up to 2 hours) operating a forklift, moving and loading materials, and working with equipment like metal shears and brakes — with full training provided.

Provided PPE: Cut-resistant gloves, eye and ear protection (steel-toed shoes not required).
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, move, and load materials for customers using a forklift or overhead crane.
- Operate basic machinery (metal shear and brake) — training is available.
- Secure loads by adjusting, strapping, and tarping as directed.
- Deliver materials to job sites with a gooseneck trailer; help offload as needed.
- Maintain a tidy, organized workspace and assist with part runs or other assigned tasks.
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, decimals).
- Ability to read and understand lists and instructions.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Reliable, positive, and eager to learn.
- Committed to safety and excellent customer service.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Forklift experience/certification is a plus (but not required — we will train).
- Able to perform repetitive, physical tasks and adapt to changing procedures.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, crouching, and lifting throughout the day.
- Enjoys learning, organized, and able to take responsibility.
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying temperatures (32°F to 100°F).
- Use of basic tools: pens, pencils, safety goggles, gloves, forklift, and overhead crane.
- Direct supervision from Warehouse Supervisor and regular interaction with warehouse and production teams.
