Location: Cincinnati, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime and occasional weekends available)
Pay: $23.00/hour
Job Type: 6-Month Contract with Potential for Permanent Hire
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Lab Technician for one of our industry-leading laboratory clients in Cincinnati, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch or grow a career in laboratory operations. We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, log, and organize incoming samples for laboratory testing.
- Prepare and stage samples for analysis.
- Perform laboratory testing following established methods and standard operating procedures after training.
- Prepare reagents, quality control samples, and calibration standards.
- Record and verify test results while maintaining accurate laboratory documentation.
- Enter data into laboratory systems and maintain instrument logs, calibration records, and worksheets.
- Monitor laboratory supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
- Assist with moving sample containers, boxes, and other laboratory materials as needed.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of previous laboratory, quality, or science coursework is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and data entry experience.
- Comfortable performing analytical tasks and following detailed procedures.
- Ability to lift and move laboratory materials and work in a hands-on environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends when business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Chemistry coursework or laboratory experience.
- Experience handling chemicals or petroleum products.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
