? Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
? 1st Shift: Starting at 4:00 AM
? Schedule: Monday–Friday; schedule may vary with overtime and weekends as needed by operations
Position Overview
Hiring Electric Pallet Jack Operator I (EPJ) team members for its Perris, CA facility.
The EPJ Operator I is responsible for safely and efficiently operating material-handling equipment, electric pallet jacks (EPJ), to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise throughout the warehouse.
The Operator will help maintain productivity, accuracy, inventory control, and compliance with all safety procedures. Additional duties may include order filling, order checking, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Operate EPJ equipment safely and efficiently according to company procedures
- Complete and document required pre-operation equipment inspections
- Stack and store merchandise using forklift, clamp, or push-pull equipment
- Unload inbound shipments and move products to designated storage locations
- Pull and prepare products for shipment
- Verify product type and quantity for accuracy
- Load products into trailers for outbound shipments
- Perform accurate and timely order picking
- Maintain required inventory documentation and reports
- Assist with physical inventories and cycle counts
- Rotate inventory according to company standards
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies
- Use RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management
- Report safety concerns, hazards, or incidents to management promptly
- Use basic Excel and computer skills to complete required tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 6+ months of forklift operation or warehouse distribution equipment experience preferred
- EPJ (electric pallet jack) operation required
- Must qualify for and pass NFI forklift certification
- Warehouse or material-handling experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective customer service skills and basic math competency
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including 10–12 hour shifts
- Ability to lift and/or pull 10–50 lbs. without restriction
- Frequent bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching at or above shoulder level
- Ability to work in varying noise, lighting, and temperature conditions
- Flexibility to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operations
