Quality Control Sample Technician

Location: Onsite in Buchanan, NY
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Saturday; Wednesday may be scheduled off based on business needs
Shifts: Day and evening; first two weeks are 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. then role will move to 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. post-training

Kelly is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Quality Control Sample Technician to work on the production floor at our gypsum wallboard manufacturing facility in Buchanan, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Cut wallboard samples every 30 minutes to one hour using a utility knife and cut-resistant gloves.

  • Measure samples with a standard tape measure.

  • Record measurements accurately on log sheets.

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

  • Wear required PPE, including a hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, safety boots, and cut gloves.

  • Assist with maintaining a safe and organized work area.

  • Adjust work hours as needed to support coverage, with advance notice provided.

Requirements

  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience required.

  • Experience using a standard tape measure required.

  • Basic computer skills preferred.

  • Flexibility to work day or evening shifts.

  • Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.

  • Ability to lift and carry samples weighing up to 20 pounds, with assistance as needed.

  • Ability to bend, twist, and perform other physical tasks associated with production work.

The successful candidate will be motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
