Manufacturing Operator – Weekend Nights & 12-Hour Rotating Days
Location:
Collegeville PA
Salary:
$21/hr
Shift Details:

  • Weekend Nights: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Friday through Sunday plus every other Monday

  • Rotating Days: 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (3 on, 4 off or 4 on, 3 off schedule, totaling 40 hours/week)
    Specific scheduling details to be confirmed.

Position Summary

As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machinery used in the production of precision metal tubes. You’ll ensure quality standards are met, support smooth manufacturing operations, and uphold company safety requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and set up the precision metal tube drawing bull wheel process.

  • Maintain production quality by following the light system and established procedures.

  • Read and implement technical specifications, work instructions, and maintenance guidelines.

  • Independently solve production issues and complete assignments.

  • Receive, label, handle, and move both customer-supplied and purchased materials.

  • Document work on production and shipping/receiving records or in computer systems.

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using visual methods (unaided and with magnification) and tools like dies, gauges, micrometers, and other dimensional inspection equipment.

  • Keep conforming and non-conforming products separated.

  • Collaborate with Engineering to improve processes.

  • Participate in Operational Excellence activities and teams.

  • Be available for mandatory and voluntary overtime as needed (including weekdays or weekends).

  • Perform additional duties as required.

Education & Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational schooling preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years company-related experience and/or 4+ years operating machinery in a manufacturing environment; medical device experience preferred.

  • Skillset: Proficient with basic mathematics; comfortable handling small precision parts.

Specialized Knowledge & Abilities

  • Skilled in interpreting drawings and blueprints.

  • Experienced in using precision measurement equipment.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.

Environmental & Physical Requirements

  • Use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, etc.) at all times.

  • Regular exposure to fluids, solvents, lubricants, and chemicals—active use of safety controls required.

  • Ability to use, and commitment to using, lift assist and safety devices.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs; frequent pushing, pulling, carrying, standing, bending, sitting, reaching, and grabbing materials during long shifts.

  • Participate in safety training, safety committee work, and hazard analysis/resolution.
