Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation:

$22.00 – $23.00 per hour, based on job history, experience, and suitability for the position. Potential to earn up to $25.00 with additional experience. Plus, enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holidays, and employee discount programs.

Shift:

First Shift Metallizer Inspector Role M-F 7-3 PM, Must be willing to work overtime, 1 to 2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday) at least 1-2 times a month, Plus $0.75 shift differential on 2nd shift

What’s a typical day as a First Shift Metallizer? You’ll be:

  • Operating and monitoring metallizer machines, including start-up, shut-down, and changeovers using a control panel

  • Reading production schedules and ensuring timely changeovers for various film products

  • Aligning or fastening machine parts, threading or feeding film, and adjusting machine settings for optimal performance

  • Observing machine operations to detect defects or deviations, making necessary adjustments, and ensuring product quality

  • Performing machine setups, material handling, and quality inspections, including testing and pass/fail decisions

  • Cleaning machines and parts between runs, with occasional confined space entry

  • Operating forklifts or fork trucks for material handling as needed

  • Using computer equipment for production run sheets, labels, and QA testing

  • Following all safety protocols, including hazardous material handling and maintaining a non-smoking campus

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or GED (required); vocational degree preferred

  • Bring experience in a manufacturing environment and/or demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude

  • Possess intermediate computer skills and strong attention to detail

  • Are willing to work overtime, including 1-2 weekends per month

  • Can adapt to a fast-paced environment and cross-train in other departments as needed

  • Are able to lift, push, pull, or move up to 85 pounds and climb ladders/stairs regularly

  • Are comfortable completing a respiratory clearance exam and using a respirator as needed

  • Agree to comply with a 100% non-smoking campus policy
