Position Title: Production Operator I
Location: Plymouth, MN
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all safety protocols, procedures, Lockout/Tagout requirements, and use of PPE.
- Execute assigned production, welding, inspection, and manufacturing tasks per established process, quality, and customer requirements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in welding operations, following approved parameters and standards.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using microscopes and precision measurement equipment.
- Accurately complete production, quality, and inspection records for compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Identify, document, and report nonconforming materials and process deviations.
- Perform basic equipment checks, routine maintenance tasks, and participate in autonomous maintenance activities.
- Maintain organized, clean work areas according to 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Contribute to meeting production targets while upholding safety and quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with team members, support staff, and supervisors—including during shift handoffs.
- Support cross-training, skill development, and flexible work assignments as business needs arise.
- Maintain required trainings, certifications, and skill proficiencies.
- Other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions, procedures, and quality documents.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing, safety, and quality principles.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments, inspection tools, and production equipment.
- Able to lift, move, and handle materials as needed for the job.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality results.
- Reliable, accountable, and able to demonstrate professionalism and teamwork.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in ongoing training.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance and work assigned schedule, including overtime as needed.
