We at Kelly are seeking a Material Handling Coordinator III to work at a premier manufacturing client in Billerica, MA.
Pay Rate: $26.00 per hour
Shift: 8Hr Day (8AM – 4:30PM) M-F
What’s a typical day as Material Handling Coordinator III? You’ll be:
- Prioritizing daily activities within the Stockroom and Materials department to support production schedules and customer requirements
- Providing support at the Westford offsite warehouse, including order picking and general materials coverage
- Investigating order picking issues, inventory discrepancies, cycle count variances, and nonconforming material; performing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Locating, auditing, transferring, and staging kits or materials to support production and shipping requirements
- Receiving incoming materials, completing inventory transactions, and updating inventory records, shortage reports, and related documentation using Made2Manage (M2M) or other inventory systems
- Monitoring and maintaining shortage reports to ensure material availability for production
- Coordinating the processing and disposition of nonconforming material in accordance with established procedures
- Organizing and consolidating stockroom locations to maximize storage capacity and support efficient material flow
- Assisting with expediting material deliveries from suppliers as requested by management
- Training and certifying Material Coordinators on departmental processes and safe work practices
- Supporting inventory control initiatives and assisting with rework, transfer, or scrap activities as directed
- Operating powered industrial equipment, including pallet jacks and electric pallet jacks (after certification)
- Providing cross-functional coverage for Inventory Control, Receiving, the Stockroom, and Production Control during planned or unplanned absences
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrate proficiency in stockroom operations, inventory control, material handling, and established departmental procedures
- Are comfortable working within ERP and inventory management systems, including Made2Manage (M2M)
- Possess basic-to-intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Can stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
- Communicate effectively and build positive working relationships across departments
- Are willing to train, onboard, and guide less experienced team members
- Are committed to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
