Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Workers Compensation Coordinator to support our medical enterprise in coordinating administrative aspects of workers compensation claims. This position involves completing Requests for Authorization (RFAs), communicating with Claims Adjusters via email and telephone, and addressing inquiries from patients and providers related to workers compensation care.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete and submit RFAs (Requests for Authorization) for workers compensation cases.
- Communicate with Claims Adjusters via email and telephone to discuss cases and ensure proper documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for patients and providers, addressing questions, concerns, and status updates regarding care.
- Perform general administrative duties related to the coordination of care as assigned.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in relevant systems (Cerner EMR experience preferred).
- Utilize various digital platforms including email, PDF editing programs, fax/eFax, and internal databases.
- Collaborate in a team-oriented, interdependent work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience in a healthcare, insurance, or administrative support role (preferred but not required).
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Cerner EMR a plus.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Meticulous attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work full-time with minimal or no planned PTO during assignment period.
