Behavior Technician – 1:1 Elementary Student Support
Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dependable Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 support to an elementary school student in the Phoenixville area who benefits from additional behavioral, emotional, and academic support throughout the school day.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful difference in a school setting. The ideal candidate will be patient, energetic, dependable, and comfortable helping a student navigate classroom routines, social interactions, transitions, and challenging behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to an elementary-aged student throughout the school day
- Help the student follow classroom routines, expectations, and daily activities
- Encourage positive behaviors and appropriate social interactions
- Provide support during transitions, classroom activities, and less-structured periods
- Assist the student with staying focused and engaged in learning
- Implement strategies and recommendations provided by the student’s educational and clinical team
- Help promote independence, confidence, and appropriate communication
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
- Communicate observations and student progress to the appropriate school and clinical staff
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a school, childcare, behavioral, educational, or related setting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in helping children succeed
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and supportive when responding to challenging behaviors
- Reliable attendance and a professional approach
- Behavioral experience is helpful but not required; training and support are available
