Location: Wood Dale, IL
Hours: Monday–Friday 6am – 4:30pm + Saturdays as needed
Pay: $22-28 based on experience

KELLY has partnered with a rapidly expanding precision manufacturing company and they are seeing a 1st shift Punch Press Operator to join their team in Wood Dale, IL!
Position Summary
The Turret Punch Press Operator is responsible for setting up and operating Amada turret punch press equipment to produce quality parts according to blueprints, job travelers, and customer specifications.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with machine setup, tooling, blueprint reading, dimensional inspection, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and run Amada turret punch press machines, including the AE 2510NT and EMK 3612.
- Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, machine adjustments, and material loading.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, work orders, and production specifications.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy and part quality.
- Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring tools to verify specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot machine, tooling, setup, and production issues.
- Monitor production to maintain quality and productivity expectations.
- Follow established safety and quality procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, leads, Quality, and other production team members.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience operating turret punch press machines; Amada experience strongly preferred.
- Experience performing machine setups independently.
- Strong blueprint-reading skills.
- Experience using measuring and inspection tools.
- Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently once trained.
