Job Description:
The HR Connect Leave Specialist is a key part of our Human Resource (HR) Operations group supporting the HR Connect delivery model. 
The HRConnect Benefits Specialist is responsible for supporting US benefits and leave administration, including partnering with vendors, advocacy for employees related to health care issues, and oversight of payroll auditing for employees on leave.
 
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support to HR Operations-Benefits/Leave Specialist for leave, disability, and worker’s compensation administration.
Provide support on return-to-work status questions regarding job protection, workers’ compensation claims, transition from active employment, questions relating to absence and disability.
Manage central mailbox and address escalated matters and inquiries relating to disability, workers’ compensation and leave issues.
Payroll Integrations: assist with audit of payroll for employees on leave, resolve payroll matters.
Assist with creation of disability notices
HRIT Integrations: assist with administration needs on integrations including benefit delivery, status changes, status updates, and problem resolution
Assist with process separations and terminations from company for employees on leave
Ensure we are compliant with all state and local paid leave and sick leave laws including coordination of state filings.
Provide Tier 2 & 3 support for escalated health and welfare issues not resolved by external vendors or the HRConnect service center for employees on leave.
Contribute to HRConnect initiatives, projects, and goals.
Other responsibilities, activities and projects as assigned.

Qualifications Basic:
Bachelor’s degree.
Position requires 3 to 5 years of leave of absence, worker’s compensation, and disability experience or other relevant transferable skills related to benefits or disability management.
Must have excellent business writing and oral communications skills.
Needs strong project management skills.
Must pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
Must be a proficient user of MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Must work well in a team environment and also be able to contribute independently.
Must be self-directed and able to handle large, concurrent projects at the same time with minimal supervision.
